A Little Disappointed

Some of you remember my entry for the Writer's Block Winter Showcase, The Christmas Miracle. A few of you (okay, Sarah and Hannah) gave me some really nice feedback on it that helped relax my nerves a little. Today the results came out and I really almosst wanted to cry. I know I should of expected it, and I did, but I just wasn't prepared. All of the other authors in my category certainly have had more experience than me, like the amazing Bethany who wowed me with her entry. And everyone else was the same way. I'm aware that I'm not a great author, but I guess I just thought I was better than I really am. But my competition was more creative than I, and I ended up not even placing. I'm just a little disappointed in myself, but hopefully if another writing competition comes around and catches my eye I'll do better. Oh, and for those of you who would like the link to where my failure was announced:

  1. Drew, you did AMAZING.
I thought your story was awesome, but everyone has a different point of view on things. Maybe it just wasn't their cup of tea, but I can assure you that your writing is amazing!

  2. No problem. I just really hate when someone become's disapointed in their writing. I mean, writing is a way to express yourself. You shouldn't feel that way, because if you wrote it, you should like it. And, since the story WAS so amazing, there's no reason for you to feel this way. :)
    Just my thoughts. ^.^

  5. Are you kidding, Drew? You are not a 'great' author, you are a wonderful author whose stories I absolutely love. If you didn't place at ALL, that means the judges have no brain. (sorry, Skip!)

  11. I love the first song. It reminds me of how much I absolutely hate abortion.
Again: You shall win, and I shall not place, because that is the way it shall freaking BE!
After all, have my psychic powers ever steered me wrong before?
